From July 20 to 22, the Headwaters region will host the exclusive Canadian stop of the highly acclaimed EQUUS Film Festival. For three days, the historic Town Hall Opera House in downtown Orangeville will serve as the mainstage venue for 19 films from across the world, celebrating the horse and the art of film-making.
Founded in 2013, the EQUUS Film Festival is the world’s premier showcase of national and international feature films, documentaries, and shorts in which the horse is centre stage. Hundreds of films have gained recognition, found international distribution, and reached global audiences via the festival. Founder and Director Lisa Diersen said, “I am thrilled to partner with Headwaters Tourism to bring the festival to Canada. I can’t think of a better location than Headwaters Horse Country to share the art of equestrian storytelling.”
